The employ-approval, designated as the system opposing the human right by U.N. Human Rights Council, restricted the migrant workers to stay for 3 years or less and not to change their company while it was put into operation for thier human right.
500 people including migrant workers and Korean NGOs held a meeting Sunday for the removal of employ-approval in Seoul station plaza.
They advocated that the Korean government should abolish the employ approval, stop the crack down and put the labor visa in practice instead.
Sobu, a worker from Bangladesh, said that migrant workers like him couldn't complain of wages and unfair treatment under the employ-approval. "The most serious problem of all, the Korean government pretend to be blind while the employers abuse it," Sobu criticized.
Shouting their demands, the participants made a march to the Myeong-dong Catholic church as the meeting was over.
